Aelira is an accessibility compliance platform. We believe the web should be usable by everyone, and we hold ourselves to the same standards we help universities meet.
We are committed to ensuring that our website and platform are accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and alternative input devices.
Conformance Target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and define requirements for making web content more accessible.
While we strive for full conformance, we recognise that some areas may not yet fully meet every criterion. We are actively working to identify and address any gaps.
What We Do
- Use semantic HTML to express document structure
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content, including images and icons
- Target WCAG contrast requirements and review colour choices
- Design interactive controls for keyboard navigation
- Include a skip-to-content link for keyboard users
- Respect user preferences for reduced motion
- Provide associated form labels and clear error messages
- Support both light and dark colour modes
Known Limitations
A full assessment needs to cover the actual deployment and user journeys. In particular:
- Third-party content and configured integrations need separate review.
- Authenticated dashboard journeys are not covered by a scan of the public sign-in page.
- Generated documents, descriptions and captions require saved-file and human review. Some inputs cannot produce a downloadable remediated file.

Testing
Automated checks can find some barriers. A complete assessment also needs manual keyboard and assistive-technology testing of the defined scope.
This page does not report a current site-wide conformance result. A scanner score or a successful build cannot establish WCAG conformance. Results need the tested URLs, version, date, method and unresolved findings before they can support a broader accessibility claim.

We have not published an independent conformance assessment on this page. This statement is not a completed VPAT or Accessibility Conformance Report. Any future assessment needs to identify its scope, tested version, method, evaluator and unresolved findings.
